Brenno Raiko, Chairman of the Board of Directors

Brenno is Advent’s Managing Director responsible for investments in the technology sector in Latin America, based in São Paulo. His consultancy experience includes M&A strategy, commercial due diligence, corporate strategy and operations for a broad range of industries. Having joined Advent in 2011, after working as associate at Kearney in São Paulo and New York for four years, Brenno actively participated in 12 investments, including CI&T, Easynvest, EBANX, Nubank, YDUQS, Fortbras Group, Grupo Biotoscana, Sophos Solutions, Faculdade da Serra Gaúcha and Merama. He holds a BS in Economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, with a Fundação Estudar merit-based scholarship.

Fernando Matt, Board Member

Fernando is one of the founders of CI&T, an experienced executive in the IT industry, and an angel investor in tech and non-tech start-ups. He served as CI&T Brazil’s CFO from 2002 until 2014, and as Chairperson from June 2014 to May 2021. He is also a member of the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee, and a director of Sensedia and director of Neowrk. Fernando holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas — EAESP and degrees in business administration and computer engineering from Fundação Getúlio Vargas — CEAG and the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), all of them in Brazil.

Cesar Gon, Board Member

Cesar is one of the founders of CI&T and has been our CEO since the Company’s inception in 1995. He is an entrepreneur in the technology and digital space. He taught himself computer programming by the age of 11, and at 13 he sold the code of a chess game to a tech magazine. At the age of 23, he co-founded CI&T Brazil. Under his leadership as CEO, the company has grown and expanded globally. He is also an active investor in venture funds and startups, a columnist for MIT Sloan Management Review and board member at Raia Drogasil, the Lean Enterprise Institute and Sensedia. In 2019, he was awarded EY Entrepreneur of the YearTM in Brazil. Mr. Gon is a University of Campinas (UNICAMP).

Patrice Etlin, Board Member

Patrice has 27 years of private equity experience and has led, co-led or participated in over 30 investments in the region. He also served for six years as Chairman of the Latin American Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LAVCA) and was a board member of the Associação Brasileira de Private Equity e Venture Capital (ABVCAP) from 2000 to 2017. He joined Advent in 1997 and started the firm’s investment activities in Brazil. As one of Advent’s global managing partners and member of its executive committee, he helps oversee the firm’s strategic direction and investment activities, with a particular focus on Latin America. Before joining Advent, he was a partner at International Venture Partners in São Paulo and a general representative for Brazil at Matra Marconi Space. He received an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from the University of São Paulo, a master’s in industrial engineering from École Centrale de Paris and an MBA from INSEAD.

Silvio Meira, Independent Board Member

Silvio is a Brazilian computer scientist, professor and entrepreneur in the area of software engineering and innovation, specialized in strategy, digital transformation, new business and education. He is the creator of one of the most important innovation ecosystems in Brazil - the Recife Center for Advanced Studies and Systems (CESAR), where he served as chief scientist for 12 years, until 2014, and where he is currently a special teacher. He also founded The Digital Strategy Company and Porto Digital - the largest Brazilian tech park - where he also chairs the board of directors. Silvio is also a member of the board of directors in several companies such as Magazine Luiza, MRV Engenharia and TEMPEST, and a member of the innovation committees of BBCE, Anima and Ypê. Silvio graduated in Electronic Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), has a Master’s in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco and a Ph.D. in Computer Science - University of Kent at Canterbury. He served as a fellow and faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University from 2012 to 2015, as associate law professor at FGV in Rio de Janeiro from 2014 to 2017, and is currently emeritus professor at the IT Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco.

Maria Helena Santana, Independent Board Member

Maria Helena served as the Executive Chairman of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission – CVM from July 2007 to July 2012. In that capacity, she was a member of the Financial Stability Board – FSB from 2009 to 2012. Among other previous roles, she served as a member of the board of trustees of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation from 2014 to 2019 and worked for the São Paulo Stock Exchange for 12 years, acting as head of listings and issuer relations from 2000 to June 2006. She is a member of the Latin-American Corporate Governance Roundtable of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. She currently serves as non-executive director of Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A., Oi S.A. and Fortbras S.A. In Oi S.A. she is also the chair of the nomination, compensation and governance committee and in Fortbras S.A. she is also a member of the audit committee. Previous roles include non-executive director of CPFL Energia S.A. and Bolsas y Mercados Españoles — BME, non-executive director and chair of the Audit Committee of XP Inc. and Totvs S.A., non-executive director and chairman of the corporate governance committee of Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição S.A. – CBD and member of the audit committee of Itau Unibanco Holding S.A. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo — USP in Brazil.

Eduardo Gouveia, Independent Board Member

Eduardo is an investor and board member at start-ups such as Allya, PinPeople, Hands, AsaaS and VEE, and a board member at large companies such as Mapfre Seguradora, Quero-Quero, Raymundo da Fonte and Baterias Moura. He served as CEO of several Brazilian companies in the financial services sector, such as Cielo, Alelo, and Multiplus Fidelidade. He also founded and was the CEO of Livelo, a customer loyalty company controlled by Banco do Brasil and Bradesco. Having started his career in the IT department of Banco Banorte, Eduardo also held C-level positions in Retail companies such as Walmart Brasil, Bompreço and HiperCard. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Pernambuco (UFPE), a specialization degree in Finance from IBMEC and an MBA in Marketing from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

Carla Trematore, Independent Board Member

Trematore worked at traditional and independent big four audit firms from 1996 to 2010. She also served as accounting partner at Hirashima & Associados, a boutique consulting firm specialized in advisory services for M&A transactions. Among other previous roles, Trematore was the chairperson of the audit committee of Caixa Econômica Federal from 2017 to 2020 and member of the board of directors of BRB – Banco de Brasília.

She currently serves as (i) independent member of the board of directors and coordinator of the audit committee of BR Partners Participações; (ii) independent member of the audit committee of Allied Tecnologia and Grupo Oncoclínicas, and (iii) member of the fiscal councils of Cosan, Comgás, Ânima Educação, Localiza and ISA-CTEEP. She graduated in Computer Science from the Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP and in Accounting from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais – PUC Minas, both in Brazil.
